Who we are

Shopfront Studio builds and looks after websites for small businesses. [Placeholder: registered business name, address and company number]. When this policy says "we", that's who it means. If you have any question about your data, email us at [Placeholder: contact email address].

What we collect and why

We only collect what you give us, and we only use it for the reason you gave it.

In legal terms: we process enquiry data on the basis of legitimate interest (replying to you), and client data because it's necessary to deliver the contract between us.

Where your information lives

Form submissions are handled by our own website and delivered to our email inbox. The website itself is hosted on Cloudflare. We don't run our own servers, and we never store your details anywhere beyond those services.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no tracking cookies. There's no advertising, no social media pixels, and no third-party trackers. If we use analytics, it's Cloudflare's built-in kind, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.

Who we share it with

Nobody, except the services named above that make the website work. We never sell your information, never share it with advertisers, and never pass it to anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't go anywhere are deleted within [Placeholder: retention period, e.g. 12 months]. If you become a client, we keep your information for as long as you're with us, plus whatever period the law requires for things like invoices.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Just email [Placeholder: contact email address] and we'll sort it, no forms and no fuss. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.
