The story
I'm Nell, and this has been my shop since 2014.
I started on a wholesale flower market at nineteen, which is where you learn what a stem is really worth and how many days it has left in it.
Ten years of four am starts taught me two things: that good flowers sell themselves, and that most of what gets sold isn't good. When the unit two doors from the old post office came up for rent, I signed the lease the same week. I had a van, a dozen buckets and a lot of nerve, in roughly that order of usefulness.
The first year was touch and go. What kept the door open was wedding work and the Saturday regulars, and twelve years on those are still the backbone of the shop.
I still go to market twice a week and only bring back what looks good. If the peonies are tired they stay where they are, and you get something better in their place. That is genuinely the whole trick, and it's why the same faces keep coming back.
The big table at the back was my nan's kitchen table. It's where the workshops happen, where wedding quotes get talked through over a pot of tea, and where I write every card by hand before it goes out with the flowers.
Twelve years on it's still me buying, still me tying, and still me knocking on your door with the box. Come in and say hello.
